Hainan Railway to handle 180k passengers during New Year holiday
There will be 33 pairs of bullet trains serving the Hainan Eastern Ring Railway during the New Year holiday, which falls on January 1st, 2015.
The Hainan Eastern Ring Railway is expected to transport 180,000 passengers during the 3-day holiday, and the daily average passenger flow is expected to reach 45,000.
Most passengers are students or short-distance sightseeing tour visitors as well as business travelers.
If you plan to travel during this time, you may wish to buy your tickets a few days in advance, as tickets often sell out due to the large volume of holiday travelers. Passengers can purchase bullet train tickets at the Sanya Railway Station.
