“Feng Huang Ling”, Hainan’s largest luxury Ro-Pax passenger ship, made its maiden voyage by commuting between Haikou and Hai’an across the Qiongzhou Strait on December 15th, 2014.

The ship, constructed by the Hainan Strait Shipping Co., Ltd., is 127 meters long and 20.5 meters wide.

With a displacement of 10,982 tons, the ship can carry 46 vehicles and 999 passengers at the same time.

The ship’s communal areas include such luxuries as a supermarket, escalators, a children’s playroom, a leisure bar and a cafeteria.

To meet the traffic demands ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, two more ro-ro passenger ships will be put into operation in 2015.
