Honeymoon and wedding tourism is booming in Hainan as the peak tourism season approaches.

A manager from Sanya Toppic International Wedding Photography said they receive nearly 300 couples every month during the peak season. Most of them come from northeast and southwest China.

Statistics from Sanya Tourism Association show that there are nearly 600 wedding photography businesses in the city and more than 50,000 couples have their wedding photos taken in Sanya annually.

The island has become the top destination in China for weddings and honeymoons in recent years thanks to its pleasant climate, blue skies, fresh air, and clean water.
