The 3rd stop of the 2014 China International Camping Congress will be held in Wanning at the end of December.

The other 2 stations of the congress are to be held in Dongping County of Shandong Province and Qiandao Lake of Zhejiang Province.

The congress will offer a series of competitive events such as hiking, marathons, cycling, motorcycling, mountaineering, trekking, fishing, and tug-of-war. They will also hold a variety of camping activities and parties.

Wanning is a county-level city in southeast Hainan Province and is the third biggest tourism city in Hainan. Famous for its tropical scenery, Wanning is half an hour from the beach by car or bus and has many sites suitable for camping.

The China International Camping Congress is jointly organized by the Mountaineering Management Center of the China State General Sports Administration and the Chinese Mountaineering Association.
