Rosewood Clearwater Bay in Hainan to open in 2015
The complex will feature a 729-key resort hotel and serviced apartment tower, a 28,000-sm International Finance Forum convention center, a series of connecting retail buildings, and a modest visitors center.
BLINK Design Group is the design team behind the Rosewood Clearwater Bay located on the tropical island of Hainan in China.
Due to open next year, Rosewood Clearwater Bay’s design stays true to the pristine setting of the island, said Clint Nagata, founder and creative director of BLINK.
“It was about creating an element of surprise through the design that let the spectacular views and landscape stand out even more,” Nagata said.
One of the amenities that guests can look forward to is a stand-alone ‘specialty restaurant’ on the beach that encourages a more casual kind of luxury, said BLINK’s Bangkok-based Head of Design, Ong-Art Ngamnarongkij, the project’s lead designer.
A part of an Asian growth, Rosewood Clearwater Bay will be joined by Rosewood hotels in Bali, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Jakarta, Phnom Penh and Phuket.
