Lingshui to host 2014 national Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Championship
The 2014 National Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Championship is set to take place from October 14 to 17 at the Agile Gymnasium at the Lingshui Culture and Sports Square in Linshui, Hainan.
More than 500 top wrestlers including national champions, champions of Asia, the world’s top 5 and national elite athletes from 37 units across the country including PLA units, Sports Associations and Sports Institutions will gather in Lingshui to try and wrestle their way onto the winner’s podium.
This year’s event will award 8 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 16 bronze medals, as well as 6 PE Morality Awards and eight group awards. The event is open to public for free.
The national Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Championship is held every year and is next to the level of the National Games.
