Fresh from bagging an unprecedented 22nd Olympic medal, Michael Phelps caught the eye of more than just a few star struck spectators as he exchanged swim-wear for golf gear at the celebrated pro-am golf tournament in China, and turned a few heads from the golfing world while he was at it.

While some spend a lifetime trying to perfect the game, Phelps appears to have made the transition to acclaimed amateur golfer with predictable ease. And with regular professional tuition from Tiger Woods’ former coach Hank Haney, failed to rule out making a full time living from the game.

'I had the chance to talk to Matt Kuchar yesterday coming down the 17th and we talked about it. He actually said to me I had a good, smooth swing so for me it’s all about getting muscle memory and learning how to do the right shot at the right time, every time. The more time I can spend on the range and with Hank, I’ll see a lot more results,” said the Olympic champion.

But new found fame on the golf course didn’t keep the Olympic ace out of the water for long as he found time to provide fellow American golfer, Matt Kuchar’s children with swimming lessons at Mission Hills Resort on the tropical island of Hainan.

Phelps was joined by a host of sporting and acting talent at the now famous Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-Am, including Andy Garcia, Ryan Reynolds, Adrien Brody and Minka Kelly from Hollywood as well as Yao Ming, Ronaldo, Stephen Hendry, Pat Cash and Darren Clarke from the world of sport.
