Number of visitor information centers to reach 50 by end of 2014
The Hainan tourist information center, which is meant to display all its local tourism resources and allow tourists to enjoy more convenient tourism consultancy services, was put into service at the domestic arriving hall at Haikou Meilan Airport on September 24th.
These visitor information centres will be jointly operated by the government and enterprises, integrating the functions of information enquiry, tourist complaint handling and scenic spot displays advertisements.
At present, 39 tourist information centers have been put into operation in Hainan and the construction of 14 more are underway. By the end of this year, the number of tourist information centers is expected to reach 50 and are mainly located at Haikou, Sanya, Wuzhishan, Wenchang, Wanning, Qionghai, Lingshui, Baoting and Qiongzhong
