As the National Day holiday is drawing near, the Hainan Provincial tourism authorities will be taking strict measures to maintain the order of Hainan’s tourist market.

During this year’s National Day holiday, supervision will be launched on illegal tour guides and unfair competition among travel agencies, in order to keep the one-day tour more transparent and provide a guideline for the local travel agents.

Local hotels are urged to carry out a plan to ensure reasonable hotel room rates on the island and scenic spots are required to control the number of tourists to avoid overcrowding for the upcoming holiday.

Besides, the government will strengthen supervision on scenic spots, shopping centers, restaurants and other service sectors to prevent illegal price hikes to protect the interests of tourists.
