Hainan sees foreign trade up 12.2% to RMB56.5 bln in Jan-July
Hainan Province saw its foreign trade value for the first seven months of this year increase 12.2% year on year to RMB 56.52 billion, according to statistics released by the Haikou Customs.
From Jan to Jul, the province saw its export value increase 11.3% year on year to RMB 15.22 billion, and its import value amounted to RMB 41.3 billion, reflecting a year on year increase of 12.5%.
The province's foreign trade under general trade grew 6.9% year on year to RMB 34.16 billion in the first seven months, while that under processing trade rose 10% to RMB 16.67 billion.
In the first seven months of this year, Hainan's foreign trade with Middle East surged 43.6% from a year earlier to RMB 16.67 billion and its foreign trade with ASEAN went up 23.8% year on year to RMB 10.49 billion.
