Hainan sees 98.5% of days with fairly good air quality in 1st half of 2014
In the first half of 2014, ‘fairly good’ air quality in Hainan was reported 98.5% of the time, according to figures released by the Hainan Environmental Protection Bureau at the end of August.
The report shows that 76.9% of days in the first half of this year in Hainan have had ‘excellent’ air quality.
In the first half of this year, the air quality of Haikou ranked the best among China’s major cities.
7 cities and counties in Hainan including Haikou, Sanya, Wuzhishan, Qionghai, Ledong, Danzhou and Dongfang have launched the new air quality index standards. The ratio of days with ‘fairly good’ air quality ranged between 93.5%-98.9% in Haikou.
