12 metric tons of fake Chinese herbal medicines Police and staff from Hainan province's Food and Drug Administration made a joint effort in the early morning on Aug 21 to crack a criminal gang that produced fake Chinese herbal medicines, and detained four suspects and seized more than 140 kinds of fake medicines and a number of production tools.

 

 

The suspects confessed that they produced the fake medicines, which were sold to some pharmacies and clinics in Haikou, the provincial capital.

 

 

The case is under investigation.
