Two new shopping malls opened in Haikou
Two new shopping malls, the Yishenghe Shopping Mall and CR Vanguard Supermarket, recently opened for business in Haikou.
In recent years the local government has attempted to introduce more high-end and well-known brands within China in order to promote the development of urban business and sustainable economic development.
Located next to Caihong Bridge and Haixiu Road, the Yishenghe Shopping Mall covers a total area of 34,000 square meters. It is Hainan’s first large department store to combine high end fashion and retail.
The CR Vanguard Supermarket is located at Mingmen Square, and covers an area of 30,000 square meters. It is a large state-owned company, which breaks up the monopoly foreign retail supermarkets currently enjoy in Haikou.
Other commercial projects that have been signed include Outlets and Hualian Supermarket. At the moment some domestic upscale household brands are in negotiation with the new supermarkets, including Red Star Macalline and Xi Yin Men.
