Muse Lake in Tunchang County, Hainan
 
The Hainan government is planning to integrate the regional tourism resources of 6 different counties and cities with the aim of fostering a green cultural tourism industry in the central part of the island.

The 6 cities and counties are Baoting, Baisha, Qiongzhou, Wuzhishan, Tunchang and Ding’an, which boasts scenic mountain settings and indigenous cultures.

In the central part of the island, there are currently 8 ecological and cultural scenic spots, including the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone in Baoting, Litong Grand Park in Wuzhishan, Baihualing Mountain Scenic Spot in Qiongzhong and Carter Caves in Baisha.

To further explore the available tourist resources, another 22 traditional ecological and cultural tourist sites will be upgraded, including at the Butterfly Ranch in Wuzhishan, Maogan Xianlong Cave and Hongkan Waterfall Scenic Spot and Egret Park in Tunchang.

Besides, the provincial government will establish a batch of sports facilities on the back of the mountainous tourism resources, such as a national sports training base in Wuzhishan and mountain bicycle lanes in Tunchang’s Muse Lake Scenic Spot
