Tourism revenue in Hainan’s Baoting reaches RMB 324 million in H1 of 2014
Baoting County is stepping up efforts to push nature, culture and well-being to lure more tourists.
According to the statistics released by the Baoting tourism bureau, the county received a total of 1.91 million tourists in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 21.52%. The three major scenic spots including Yanoda Tropical Rainforest, Binglanggu Valley and Qixianling Hot Springs National Forest Park attracted 1.55 million visitors.
Meanwhile, the statistics showed that the tourism revenue of Baoting from January to June reached 324 million yuan, an increase of 31.26% year-on-year.
This year, Baoting has made greater efforts to promote its tourism brand image in mainland cities, with focuses on rainforest, hot springs, and Li and Miao ethnic tourism products.
Besides, agritainment tourism becomes more and more popular in Baoting in recent years. In the first six months, the regional 15 agritainment restaurants received 132,900 visitors with an income of 11.44 billion yuan.
