Lingshui plans to attract more upscale international hotel names with the scheduled opening of a number of new properties in the county over the next few years.

Lingshui has officially put 35 luxury hotel construction plans on the agenda and 18 hotels are under construction at present, including The Westin Blue Bay Resort, which is set to open on August 1st this year in ClearWater Bay.

Last year, Lingshui received 4.37 million tourists from China and abroad, a year-on-year increase of 11%.

Meanwhile, a total of 2.5 billion yuan has been invested into the hospitality sector, a 67.8% year-on-year increase.
