Hainan’s first Kafelaku coffee shop opens in Fushan, Chengmai
According to the Chengmai government, the opening of the Kafelaku Coffee is good news for coffee fans as the Fushan Coffee Scenery Town is working to make more coffee options available to local consumers.
Built in 2010, Fushan Coffee Scenery Town covers a land area of 76 square kilometers. It has attracted over a hundred enterprises from home and abroad to settle in for coffee production and market research and is a popular tourist attraction in Hainan.
Kafelaku coffee, or civet coffee, is a rare Indonesian brew made from coffee berries that have been digested and excreted by civet cats and then processed by hand. It is one of the world’s most expensive and low-production varieties of coffee.
