The 4th station of the China International Camping Congress will be held in Wangning, Hainan, with the congressional meeting to kick off in the second half of 2014. The other 3 stations of the congress are to be in Dongping of Shangdong Province, Zhangye of Gansu Province, and Qiandao Lake of Zhejiang Province.

The China International Camping Congress will be jointly held by the Mountaineering management center of the China State General Sports Administration and the Chinese Mountaineering Association. The congress will offer a series of competition events such as hiking, marathon, cycling, motorcycling, mountaineering, trekking, fishing, and tug-of-water, they will also hold a variety of camp activities and parties.

Wanning is a county-level city in the southeast of Hainan Province, and it is the third biggest tourism city in Hainan. Famous for its tropical scenery, Wanning lies approximately half an hour's drive from the beach and has many sites suitable for camping.
