2nd phase of coral hall at Lingshui’s Boundary Islet opens to public on May 1st
The second phase of the coral hall at the Boundary Islet, the largest of its kind in China, opened to the public on May 1st in Lingshui County, Hainan Province.
Covering an area of 1,200 square meters, the hall is divided into two floors which can hold over 1,000 visitors.
The second phase is located at the second floor, where visitors can observe various kinds of coral samples and living corals, including staghorn, tubular and red and black corals.
The opening of the hall can serve as a display center of coral specimens and as an educational base for research on the biodiversity of marine animals. It can also serve to popularize marine culture.
The coral hall will be another attraction in Hainan featuring lots of marine creatures on display
