Hainan receives 10.3 million overnight visitors in Q1 of 2014
Hainan received 10.3 million overnight visitors in the first quarter of 2014, reflecting a growth of 12.5% year on year, according to figures released by the Hainan Statistics Bureau.
In terms of the growth rate in tourist arrivals, Baoting topped the list for receiving a total of 122,800 overnight tourists, a year-on-year increase of 50.7%, followed by Changjiang (40.5%), Qiongzhong (35.6%), Ledong (29%) and Dongfang (28.9%).
The top 5 cities in tourist arrivals in the first three months were Sanya, Haikou, Wanning, Qionghai and Wenchang, representing arrivals of 1,220,800, 927,600, 357,100, 194,800 and 114,500, respectively.
