Hainan intangible cultural heritage on display at Boao Forum
Hainan intangible cultural heritage expo has been set up at the 80-meter-long corridor of the main venue during the annual Boao forum, which is being held on 8-11 April.
Some 70 precious items and folk customs of Hainan are integrated through the picture exhibition and physical exhibits to let the audience feel different charms of Hainan Province.
Exquisite pictures such as Hainan Opera, Yazhou folk song, Lin’gao man-and-puppet show, Danzhou tunes, and so on have attracted guests to stop for appreciation.
To better showcase the island’s progress in protecting these intangible cultural items, the practitioners of various arts are on site to demonstrate the techniques of creating their art. The exhibition involves activities such as brocade-weaving, pottery and boat-shaped houses.
