As part of the island’s plan to boost golf tourism, the Hainan Golf Passport will be put into use on April 1, 2014.

The measure has been supported by local golf clubs. To date, a total of 30 golf clubs in Hainan have taken part in the program.

Since 2013, around 18,000 golfers at home and abroad have been successfully issued golf passports.

The golf passport will be valid till October 31st, 2018. From April 1st to October 31st of every year, golf passport holders can enjoy waived green fees and other preferential deals at the all participating golf clubs.

The Hainan golf passport uses gravure printing technology and basic personal information will be clearly printed on the passport. And each passport also has a unique code to identify the personal information.

Golfers interested in applying can visit the official website of the Golf Passport, www.sogolf.net, to summit their applications.
