The 2014 China Dragon Boat Tournament will be held in Wanning on March 2nd, with a total of 32 teams including 24 male teams and 8 female teams taking part in the event.

Wanning is the first stop at the China Dragon Boat Tournament calendar this year. The opening ceremony will be held at 8:30am at Gangbeigang Port. The races will kick off at 9:00am.

The tournament this year includes the men’s 200m and 500m races, and women’s 200m and 500m races.

The prize of the event has been increased from the RMB 600,000 last year to RMB800, 000 this year. Among them, there are 2 male teams from Hainan, including the Hainan Wanning Dragon Boat Team and the Hainan Hele Dragon Boat Team.

Nearly 30 professional media outlets will be there to report on the competition on opening day.
