18 high-end hotels start construction in Hainan’s Lingshui
Lingshui is going to build 35 high-end hotels to improve its tourist reception capacity in the near future, the local tourism authority said.
Among them, two hotels including the Raffles Hainan in ClearWater Bay have been put into operation and another 18 hotels are under construction.
Statistics showed that Lingshui received 4.37 million tourists home and abroad last year, up 11% from the year earlier and the tourism revenue totaled 770 million yuan, an increase of 12%.
The increase of tourist arrivals has speeded up the construction of these star-related hotels. Investment in the hospitality industry reached 2.5 billion in 2013, mainly located at Perfume Bay, ClearWater Bay and Tufu Bay.
