Hainan retail sales up 13% to RMB8.63 billion in November 2013
South China's Hainan province realized RMB 8.63 billion in retail sales in Nov this year, reflecting a growth of 13.0% year on year, according to data released by the Hainan Statistics Bureau.
Retail sales of the catering industry rose 12.7% year on year to RMB 1.25 billion.
The retail sales of consumer goods in the province reached RMB 7.38 billion, up 13.1% year on year.
There was a 6.8% decline in the retail sales of automobiles and related products, due to a high base figure recorded in Nov 2012, and a 6.0% decline in the retail sales of cosmetics.
In the first eleven months of this year, the province's retail sales increased 14.0% year on year to RMB 87.95 billion.
