Sanya Dadonghai beach is Hainan’s most popular tourism attraction for Russian tourists.
   
Russia has been the largest overseas tourist market for Hainan since 2008, so the Hainan government and local travel agencies launched a series of measures to offer more great tours for Russian tourists in the year 2013.

In mid-October, the Kazakhstan-Sanya chartered flight route launched by the Sanya Eden International Travel Agency resumed service and about 1,410 Russian tourists are now being brought directly to Sanya each week. To date, 13 Russian cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, have run chartered flights to Hainan.

The Chairman Assistant of the Hainan Zhujiang International Travel Agency Sanya branch said that their company was working on developing new tourism products to cover the whole island and launching new cruise tourism services in a bid to offer a more interesting holiday experience for Russian tourists.

In response to the competition from Southeast Asia and Greece, Hainan will give a greater focus to promoting its unique tourism products including traditional Chinese medicine tourism, wedding tourism, marine tourism, eco-tourism, folklore tourism, golf, and hot spring tourism in the Russian market.
