A Taiwanese cultural and art exchange delegation visited south China’s Hainan Province from November 29, 2013, to December 2, 2013, in an effort to promote cross-strait exchanges in culture and arts.

The Hainan Women’s Federation invited the delegation to attend symposiums during the visit, exchanging in-depth views on women’s development and cultural communication.

The Hainan Women’s Federation has been keeping in close contact with Taiwanese women and the visit played an active role in strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation, according to President of Hainan Women’s Federation Liu Jin.

The delegation also paid a visit to the Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, where the Taiwanese representatives got to know the ethnic traditions and customs of local women.

The delegation will also cooperate with Hainan TV to broadcast programs about Hainan’s cultural characteristics and local traditional customs on Taiwanese TV media, in a bid to attract more Taiwanese to travel to and invest in Hainan.
