A delegation consisting of 28 representatives from All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots visited the Binglanggu Valley in Baoting County on November 13th, 2013, which was part of the cross-strait cultural exchanges program.

“This is my second time to visit here and everything seems quite familiar”, Wang Yifu, the head of the federation said.

During the visit, the delegation, guided by the chairman of the scenic valley, gained a comprehensive understanding of the Li people’s culture after enjoying a note flute performance, which has been played by Li people for more than 1,000 years, and after visiting many of the area’s unique villages.

Binglanggu Valley, which serves as a bridge for cross-strait cultural exchanges and communication, has attracted many delegations from all circles of Taiwan to visit. Established in 2011, Baoting Cross-strait Exchange Base is the only ethnic minority culture cross-strait exchange base in China.
