The government of Ding’an County in Hainan recently announced that they will offer a series of financial rewards to tourism hotels and scenic spots located in the county, in order to accelerate the development of the tourism industry in the region.

According to the document of suggestions on speeding up the development of the tourism industry in Ding’an County issued by the government, the government will allocate over 2 million yuan to improve the development of the industry every year.

The 4-star and 5-star hotels operated in the county will be rewarded 70% of the land transaction price, and provincial or national tourism hotels will also receive some rewards. Besides, new 3-star or higher hotels which pay all income tax for three consecutive years since put into service will be granted a 30% tax subsidy.

In addition, new 3A, 4A and 5A scenic spots will be rewarded 100,000, 200,000 and 400,000 yuan respectively, and new 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels will be awarded with 50,000, 100,000 and 200,000 yuan at one time, respectively.
