Hainan signs friendship agreement with Penang, Malaysia
Hainan signed a friendship agreement with the Malaysian state of Penang on 7th November at Mission Hills in Haikou.
This Friendship Agreement will create opportunities for collaboration between the two parties, promoting mutual investment, trade cooperation and cultural and educational exchanges.
Jiang Dingzhi, the governor of Hainan, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Penang, and expressed his hopes that both parties could increase their economic and trade cooperation and further promote exchanges in fields including culture, education and tourism.
Lim Guan Eng, the chief minister of Penang welcomed the agreement and vowed to forge deeper ties with Hainan.
