According to a recent report from the Hainan Transportation Department, a highway from Wanning to Danzhou and Yangpu Highway is scheduled to started the full construction by early 2014.

The highway will stretch 164.931 kilometers and pass through 5 counties and cities including Wanning, Qionghai, Tunchang, Qiongzhong and Danzhou. It will start from Hou’an Town in Wanning city and link up with the Baimajing hub, which is currently under construction.

The Wanning-Danzhou-Yangpu highway is expected to be completed in around 3 years, and opened to traffic in December 2016, according to the report.
