Danzhou to become tourism distribution center for western Hainan
Danzhou will become the tourism distribution center for western Hainan after the Western Ring High-speed Railway is completed, according to authorities from Danzhou Municipal Government.
Local authorities revealed that three stations will be constructed along the Danzhou section of the Western Ring High-speed Railway, which runs a total of 76.372 kilometers, the longest section of the high-speed railway.
As the biggest city in western Hainan, Danzhou was positioned by the provincial party committee as the central city of western Hainan 5 years ago. However, development of the city has long been hindered by undeveloped transport infrastructure.
The Western Ring High-speed Railway will be a great boost to local tourism economy after completion and will drive the development of neighboring areas.
