Wanning celebrated as Hainan’s 2nd longevity county, after Chengmai

Recently, Wanning city passed the certification program of the Gerontological Society of China (GSC) to become Hainan’s second longevity county after Chengmai County, with its authorization ceremony to be held at Xinglong Overseas Chinese Tourist Resort in Wanning on October 16th.

According to the 6th National Population Census in 2010, the average life expectancy in Wanning is 79.85 years.
They are still strong enough to take care of themselves.
In 2012, the census data showed that around 24.53% of those over 65 years old were over 80, and that there were 18.12 centenarians per 100,000 population, much higher than the proportion of 10/100,000 needed to qualify as a national longevity county.
