Hainan LNG project starts at Yangpu Economic Development Zone
According to the CNOOC Hainan Natural Gas Co., Ltd, the Hainan liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, one of the key provincial projects in Hainan which is being invested in and constructed by the company, has started construction.
Since August 2011, the project has received total investment of 3.103 billion yuan, and 64.62% of the total engineering construction had been completed by the end of this September.
With a total planned investment of over 6.5 billion yuan, the LNG project is located in Yangpu economic development zone, and includes three main sub-projects, the Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal, the port engineering and the pipeline engineering, and is set to cover a total area of 57.2 hectares upon completion.
