5 cities in Hainan to add PM2.5 readings to air quality monitoring by end of 2013
5 cities in Hainan will adopt the highly-anticipated revised standards which include PM 2.5 in air quality monitoring data by the end of this year.
The 5 cities are Sanya, Qionghai, Danzhou, Wuzhishan and Sansha.
According to the plans, Hainan will add and upgrade 12 air quality monitoring stations, involving a total investment of 43.55 million yuan.
As well as the 5 existing state-owned and operated automatic weather stations in Haikou, 2 more monitoring stations will be added in Mission Hills Haikou and Haikou's Guilinyang Campus.
