In order to attract more tourists, ticket prices for Hainan’s scenic spots will be lowered by 20% during the upcoming National Day Holiday.

Meanwhile, the room rates of 235 hotels in Sanya will be reduced by 10% compared to the same period of last year, and the price of seafood dishes in Sanya’s seafood restaurants will decline by 6.1% compared to the same period of last year.

In addition, the package prices for tour groups traveling to Hainan will be raised across the board due to the impending Chinese Tourism Law which will formally come into force on October 1st. According to the new law, tourism activities that charge additional fees and involve forced goods purchases arranged by travel agencies will be banned from October 1st.
