Wanning’s Xinglong town has recently made free wifi service available throughout its public areas, providing residents and visitors free and fast internet access, the Hainan Daily reports.

The network is available in major public areas in the town including the Xinglong Spring Hotel, the snack street, Xinglong Tropical Gardens, and the Jiaotong village. The system can handle up to 3,000 users surfing the web at a time.

The initiative is part of efforts by the Municipal Government of Waning to build the city into an intelligent tourism city.
