The 2013 China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo (CITE), jointly organized by the National Tourism Administration and the Municipal Government of Guangdong province, kicked off in Guangdong on Friday, 30th August.

A Hainan promotional delegation consisting of more than 50 travel agencies, tourism spots and hotels attended the expo, with the aim of promoting the province’s rich tourism products including honeymoon tourism, marine tourism and ecological tourism.

Haikou, the capital city of Hainan province, won the Ecological Tourism Award during the event, while Baoting Li Ethnic Autonomous County won the Cultural Tourism Award.

Moreover, Hainan province was listed as one of the top ten tourism destinations for Guangdong tourists during the event.
