A total of about 1,000 women representatives discussed Hainan women’s development at the 6th Hainan Women’s Congress in Haikou, capital of south China’s Hainan Province, on August 28, 2013.

Vice President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) Zhen Yan attended the congress and gave a speech in which she spoke highly of achievements that the Hainan Women’s Federation has made in women’s work in recent years. The Hainan Women’s Federation has organized various activities promoting women’s development and implemented the basic state policy of gender equality.

President of Hainan Women’s Federation Liu Jin presented a work report at the congress, summarizing the federation’s activities and achievements over the past five years.
