Hainan Wenchang’s coastal highway expected to be opened to traffic in Oct

According to the government of Hainan’s Wenchang city, the city’s coastal tourist highway between Dongjiao district and Longlou Highway, on which construction began in June 2012, is expected to be opened to traffic in October 2013.
As one of supporting projects for the Wenchang Satellite Launch Centre, the Wenchang coastal tourist highway has a total length of 19.2 kilometers, including two road sections from Dongjiao district to Longlou Highway and the exit of Qinglan Port.
After its completion, the highway will link Qinglan Town, Dongjiao Town and the Wenchang Satellite Launch Centre, and pass through a large number of scenic spots including the Space-science theme park, Bamen Bay tourism zone, Tongguling National Natural Reserve Area and Moon Bay tourist area.
