According to a recent report released by Hainan province’s Department of Land and Environmental Resources, most cities and counties of Hainan including Haikou, Sanya, Wenchang, Lingshui, Baisha and Baoting recorded 100% of days as having good air quality in the second quarter of 2013.

The aeroanion concentration and air quality of major forest tourist areas including Bawangling Natural Reserve, Jianfengling National Forest Park, Wuzhishan Mountain, Qianxianlin Mountain, Tongguling Natural Reserve, Diaoluoshan Mountain and Yalong Bay were higher and better than in the first quarter of 2013.

Besides, the water quality of the urban centralized drinking water sources in more than 18 counties and cities achieved water standard Level II which meets regulatory requirements.

In addition, the sea water quality of 19 major coastal tourism sea areas in Haikou, Sanya, Chengmai, Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning and Lingshui all reached marine water standard levels.
