The Hainan Administrative Measures on Yacht Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China(AQSIQ) entered into force on August 1st.

According to the new regulations, the government loosened a number of inspection and quarantine requirements for imported and exported yachts entering the marine areas of Hainan, in order to boost the yacht industry in the island.

With a coastline stretching 1882 kilometers and 84 natural harbors, Hainan, the largest marine province in China, is considered the ideal area for developing the yacht and cruise industry.
