The Sanya Yalong Bay bird’s nest resort wedding tourism products conference was held on 29th July at the Sanya bird’s nest resort, according to reports.

The event, jointly organized by the Hainan Tourism Development Commission, Hainan Tourism Association and Sanya Bird’s Nest Resort, aimed to promote Hainan’s rich wedding tourism products and discussed measures for further developing and optimizing the wedding tourism industry in Hainan. Representatives from tourism spots and experts on the tourism industry attended the conference and voiced their views and suggestions.

Hainan's wedding tourism market has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years. Consumption relating to wedding photography and wedding celebrations, as well as honeymoon expenses, has generated remarkable revenue for local tourism spots.

According to Huang Ying, the sales manager of the Sanya Daxiaodongtian (大小洞天)Resort, they have received around 8,000 visitors for wedding photography since March this year.

Local government and tourism spots have developed a variety of themed wedding products covering cruises, helicopter sightseeing, rainforest, and ethnic culture to further expand the wedding tourism market.

Hainan plans to build the island into a world-class wedding tourism destination.

A series of wedding tourism promotional campaigns has been launched both domestically and abroad in recent years.

In June, Hainan kicked off its wedding tourism promotional campaign in South Korea. The campaign is also expected to be launched in countries including Russia, Germany, and the United States.
