Hainan Lingshui County receives 2.25 million tourists in first half of 2013
From January to June, Lingshui County of Hainan received 2.25 million domestic and overseas tourists, up 11% from the same period of last year. The tourism revenue in the period totaled 370 million yuan, according to the local tourism commission.
In the first half of this year, Linshui Tourism Authority sped up the construction of tourism infrastructure, and major tourist attractions improved both their tourism products and service levels for visitors.
Early this year, the Boundary Island passed assessments by the Evaluation Committee for Quality Grades of National Scenic Spots and became the first national 5A sea-island scenic spot in China.
To further promote Lingshui’s tourism image among domestic cities, the “Pearl Coast, Beautiful Lingshui” 2013 Hainan Lingshui City National Promotional Campaign (Beijing Stop) was launched at the China National Convention Center.
