2013 Hainan Cultural Festival in Canada kicks off in Ottawa
More than 100 people including the Chinese Ambassador to Canada Zhang Junsai and several Canadian senators and parliamentarians attended the opening ceremony.
The Chinese Ambassador Zhang Junsai said that since a friendly relationship with Canada’s Prince Edward Island was established in 2001, Hainan Island had held a large number of cultural exchanges in Canada, the largest of which is the Hainan Cultural Festival, which is helping more Canadian tourists to understand and fall in love with the wonderful tropical island.
The festival includes the Hainan Island Photo Exhibition, Hainan Tourism Promotion conference, Hainan Ethnic Style Performance Gala and the cooperation signing ceremony between Hainan General Radio TV Station and Omni Television.
