According to the Hainan Archaeological Research Institute, a group of Hainan archaeologists have discovered three new cultural relic sites along the Hainan West Ring High-speed Railway project.

The cultural relic sites were named Sanya Qingling site, Ledong Chilao Village site and Cangjiang Changtianlao Village site.

During the exploration and excavation at Sanya Qingling site, archaeologists found that the core region of the site, which covers an area of about 160,000 square metres, is abundant in cultural relics, including pottery from the Han Dynasty, chinawares from the Tang-Song period, blue and white porcelain pieces from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ancient woodwork artifacts and ancient coins.

The Sanya Qingling site will be protected and preserved as it was found, and the construction of the Hainan West Ring High-speed Railway project will be kept away from the relic site.
