Most towns in Hainan record fairly good air quality in the first quarter of 2013
According to Hainan province’s Department of Land and Environmental Resources, the provincial air quality has remained fairly good for the first quarter of this year. The number of days with “fairly good” air quality in most cities & towns was 100%.
Among the 32 rivers and 18 major lakes and reservoirs, the water quality of 93.1% of the monitored river section areas satisfied the national standard III for surface waters.
The concentration of negative ions in the major forest tourism regions was recorded at above 4,000 per cubic centimeter, far more than the standard figure set by the WHO.
