China Southern Airlines announced (27-May-2013) the carrier will take delivery of its first Boeing 787 aircraft from Boeing on 31-May-2013 with the aircraft to arrive in Guangzhou on 02-Jun-2013. The aircraft received CAAC approval on 23-May-2013.
 
The carrier will operate the aircraft on domestic routes initially before deploying it internationally.
