Hainan scenic spots offer fantastic discounts for China Tourism Day
In celebration of the 3rd China Tourism Day, which falls on May 19, many scenic spots in Hainan are offering a series of great enticements for tourists.
Public museums, memorial halls, patriotic education bases and stadiums across the province on the list of public places are open to the public for free on that day.
In addition, travel agencies, starred hotels and scenic spots will roll out their own free or discounted services, according to the plan unveiled in the province.
On June 1st, Hainan residents will enjoy free entry to the Tianyahaijiao Scenic Spot. In addition, they can get half-price tickets to Sanya Orchid World and enjoy a discount of 65 yuan off the price throughout May.
On May 19, Nanwan Monkey Island is also offering promotional packages at a great discount from the regular price at 330 yuan per person, at just 228 yuan per person.
In 2011, the State Council declared May 19 as China Tourism Day. The reason to establish the national tourism day was to promote tourism, as China has now entered a period of mass tourism, and support tourist initiatives throughout the country.
