More high-efficiency, energy-saving lighting systems will be used in Hainan to promote energy conservation and environment protection in buildings and public transport.

5-star hotels at the major tourist resorts along the East Line Highway, the terminal building of Haikou Meilan International Airport and Sanya Phoenix International Airport as well as the waiting lounge of the Hainan East Ring Highway will complete the upgrade to advanced energy-saving lighting technology and products at the end of this year.

Meanwhile, the major road sections in Sanya and Haikou, and main traffic lines around the Bo’ao Forum for Asia Conference Center and Yalong Bay Tourist Resort area will be installed with the energy-saving street lighting.

Besides, the provincial government also encouraged promoting the use of renewable energy lighting systems powered by solar energy and wind turbine energy in industrial projects, public facilities and households.
